Real-time authorization enables merchants to quickly determine whether there is sufficient credit available on a cardholder's credit card to complete a purchase, and display this information to the purchaser. This typically takes place in under five seconds. Real-time authorization enhances the customer purchase experience and eliminates the need for merchants to call back customers for declined credit cards.

Skipjack provides you with the flexibility you need to support your customers' preferred credit card payment method.
The interactive register is a secure area of the Skipjack website where transactions can be managed. Through the interactive register, merchants have the ability to settle, freeze, thaw, issue full, blind and partial credits, establish a recurring payment schedule, delete, reauthorize expired transactions, and view transaction detail. These controls can be performed on any given transaction or group of transactions (note: most Interactive register functions can also be performed from outside the system using specialized interfaces).

Merchants who are providing subscriptions or any service that requires billing on a regular periodic schedule can automate this task with Skipjack's recurring payment capability. Nine different recurring payment periods are supported (e.g. monthly, weekly, semi-annually, etc.).This feature eliminates the need for you to re-enter your customers' credit card number each time a recurring payment is required, It also eliminates the need for you to assume the risk of storing credit cards in your database.

Recurring payments can be created from within the Skipjack adminstrative area, or directly through an external interface [e.g. Virtual Point of Sale (VPOS)).
